Donkey Kong Coming to Virtual Console

That iconic barrel throwing pal of ours seems to exist making its way over to the Wii U and 3DS'south Virtual Console mechanism. So be on the scout for some more classic games to enjoy.

Nintendo has released viAss Konggames for the Virtual Console shop for the Wii U and 3DS.

Well, information technology's probably a long time coming, but it seems that Nintendo has finally been able to launch both theDonkey Kong State and theDonkey Kong Country trilogies for the Wii U and the 3DS respectively.

Wii U:

Donkey Kong Country
Donkey Kong Country two: Diddy Kong's Quest
Donkey Kong State 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble

3DS:

Ass Kong Land
Donkey Kong State 2
Donkey Kong Country iii

Rare was the original developer of all 6 of these games starting back in 1994. The Donkey Kong Countrytrilogy was originally released on the SNES while theDonkey Kong Land trilogy institute its mode on the Game Boy. These aren't necessarily "remastered" per se, only still seem to do the big screen justice and look just nifty.

I think they were generally praised every bit existence some of the better and more jovial 2D platform games of the time. The gameplay is elementary, yet atrociously fun. I think it'southward peachy that they've finally re-released these ii trilogies to be enjoyed over again. You may remember that they were pulled from Wii's Virtual Panel store back in November of 2022 with very little caption, and so the further development for the Wii U may be precisely that reason.

If you've never had the pleasure of enjoying this 2D platformer, then I suggest taking some fourth dimension to get collect some bananas and to go familiar with riding rhinos. I can about promise you'll enjoy it, though there is always someone that can find a fault that distracts likewise much from gameplay.
